Our Services
Homebuilders West Coast Trust will assess the needs of each client and provide one or more of the following services:
- Social work support including parenting, respite care, behaviour management strategies
- Social workers in schools in Westport and Greymouth in accordance with the SWIS service description
- Counselling to assist children and families to function well
- Youth mentoring in the Buller area
- Service co-ordination and collaboration through Strengthening Families
- Supervised access
- Independent Youth Benefit assessment
Homebuilders West Coast Trust will provide these additional services:
- Educate, advocate and engage social service agencies and communities to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children are at the center of family violence prevention
- Facilitate and support agencies and communities to collaborate and work together for the reduction and prevention of family violence
We will measure results by asking - Is anyone better off - By:
- Improved health, welfare and educational outcomes for children, young people and their families
- Improved parenting skills
- Improved family functioning
- Number of community organisations that say they have an improved awareness of the impact of family violence on children, and know what actions they can take
Referrals can be made in the following ways:
- Self
- Friend
- Doctors
- Community Organisations
- School
- Health
- Police
- Lawyer or any other group, organisation agency or individual.
